ONE (2003) In this performance I went through a metamorphosis in front of the audience, fully exposed but ignoring the audience's existence. I went in wearing a simple little dress, with no apparent accessories.I pulled out different objects from under my dress and from concealed hiding places on my body, creating an eclectic, pretty/ridiculous image. The actions were essentially technical, carried out in a business-like manner that dictated the duration of the performance. I wanted to function like a magician or a vagabond– to create images with minimal means, without carrying any extra baggage and without remnants to cherish.
