Lifesaver (2005) Through another ritual of metamorphosis, from the primary figure in the white dress to an image of grotesque beauty, I attempted to view the acts I was performing as healing actions. I timed the performance to the twilight zone, between day and night, so it began in full daylight and ended when darkness was falling. Prior to beginning the ritual, I had created a sort of alliance with the audience through transferring black dots from my own body to each and every person sitting there. When the performance was over, I washed out the entire transformation in an act of cleansing.
