The Little Mermaid: Five Senses (2008) The work consists of four independent video pieces, which receive further meaning when accompanied by a live performance created especially to connect them. In a way, I created this work so as to stop dealing with covering and changing the body, and in order to distill the images that have concerned me for years. It combines the colorful iconography inherent in my work: the red, gold, and blue, the black dots, the exposed body as well as the blocked body. And since video offers the possibility of bringing different environments together in one particular time, I could be at the kibbutz I was born in, the street, or the central bus station of Tel aviv. In the live performance I used water, a substance with no color, to wash the body from the experiences, collecting the water from the floor back into my body. And then again.
